Curt Spalding breaks the old record by nearly 1/2 second!

September 23rd, 2009 - Curt Spalding jets around Kalamazoo in 10.217 seconds (132.553mph!) breaking the old record by nearly 1/2 second! Curt broke his old record first, lowering the 10.715 to 10.243. Then Andy Bozell goes out and runs a 10.240. So Curt returns to the track and runs a 10.217! Curt Spalding sets new world record

A special congrats goes out to Michigan racer, Curt Spalding, who set the new 3/8 mile, asphalt world record at Kalamazoo Speedway in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Spalding turned a 10.715 second lap in his Jay Dickens powered Mastersbilt to set the world record. The record had been held for the last 23 years by Randy Sweets of Sweet Steering.
